QUADRA LINK KIT

 

This is a great way to upgrade from original leaf spring suspension. Unlike our competitors, DSE's exclusive new 4-link geometry design is uncompromised to achieve the best possible handling. The new DSE "Swivel-Link" (Patent Pending) allows the suspension to fully articulate with smooth solid motion an no binding. The best feature is that this is achieved without heim-joints. Heim-joints are noisy and prone to short-term life. The DSE QUADRA Link utilizes tuned high-durometer rubber bushings (in place of heim joints or squeaky urethane bushings). The long upper links provide great pinion and u-joint angle control. Contrary to competitors' kits, DSE's kit utilizes a panhard rod that provides precise and effective rear axle lateral location during hard cornering. The panhard rod is adjustable as ride height changes for roll center control. The rear upper shock crossmember strengthens the rear body and frame section. Don't settle for anything less than DSE's QUADRA Link rear suspension!

Rear Mini-Tub Shocks

These aluminum rear shocks should be used on a 1967-1981 F-Body or 1968-1974 X-Body that has been
mini-tubbed. The monotube high pressure gas shocks are rebound adjustable. This is the aluminum body shock that our mini-tub kit is designed around for proper mount height, as well as jounce and rebound travel. They have a 1/2" bearing mount on each end.

The Detroit Speed and Engineering multi-leaf springs have a spring rate of 175 lb/in. These leaf springs are a 2" drop. The difference between DSE's leaf springs and others is that our leaf springs not only give you the handling you are looking for, but do not sacrifice ride quality. The springs have a tapered leaf with an anti-friction pad between each leaf to help provide a smooth ride.

OFFSET SHACKLES

 

DSE's exclusive billet aluminum offset shackles are designed to relocate the rear leaf springs inboard to accommodate larger rear tires. They were computer modeled and optimized with FEA, tested, and then CNC machined. They relocate the rear leaf spring inboard to accommodate 335 tires ( with a section of 13.5" ) on a Camaro / Firebird or 315 tires ( with a section width of 12.6" ) on a Nova. The shackle offset is 1-3/4". Use along with our other mini-tub components to complete your project. Kit includes 4 offset shackles and Grade 8 fasteners. This is the ORIGINAL billet aluminum offset shackle! The DSE shackle is designed for maximum suspension travel. There are hundreds of our shackles on the road and track with proven performance. Do not accept any imitation!

Note:
The stock fuel tank will need to be narrowed or use DSE's new narrowed stainless steel fuel tank when relocating the rear leaf springs (call for price and availability).

ADJUSTABLE LEAF SPRING PADS

These leaf spring pads are used when installing a new rear end housing or when relocating your leaf springs to accommodate a larger rear tire. The steel adjustable leaf spring pads clamp to any 3" axle tube. Simply locate and center the axle housing, set the pinion angle and leaf spring positions, and then clamp the spring pads in place. We recommend you permanently weld the spring pads in place after you set the pinion angle. The spring pads are compatible with 2-1/2" wide leaf springs.

These stock u-bolts work with DSE's stock lower shock plates. They are 7/16" - 20 x 3" long and come complete with tall 7/16" - 20 nuts. Bare steel sold in a a set of four.

DSE's heavy duty 1/2"-20 U-bolts provide a simple and clean way to mount your rear axle. They come complete with tall 1/2"-20 nuts. Use this set of U-bolts with our spring pads and lower shock plates. DSE U-bolts are available in steel with a zinc electroplate finish. U-bolts are sold in a set of 4.

Our heavy duty 1/2"-20 U-bolts provide a simple and clean way to mount your rear axle. They come complete with tall 1/2"-20 nuts. Use this set of U-bolts with our spring pads and lower shock plates. The 17-4 stainless steel material exceeds Grade 8 strength and can be polished to a high luster. U-bolts are sold in a set of 4.
